The Kälber on the mountain meadows above Solda is a popular destination for snowshoers, even if the pasture is not managed in the winter.

From the hotel Martel in Solda follow the path uphill to the Kälber No. 18 at 2248 m altitude. Then it's downhill to the café Waldruhe: the long-awaited rest stop where already waiting for a warm apple strudel. Then you get back on the normal route back to the village.
